What is the silver jewellery made of?All of our silver jewellery pieces are made of Oxidised, Tibetan or German silver. The composition of Oxidised silver has alloys like copper and zinc. It is exposed to Sulfur or Silver Black which contains Hydrochloric acid to get the oxidised effect. Tibetan Silver includes copper-tin, and copper-nickel alloys, zinc alloys and other alloy compositions, as well as base metals such as iron plated with a silver alloy. German Silver is an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel, sometimes also containing lead and tin. We advise protecting these metals from moisture (including water, sweat or humidity where possible) to ensure they stay in their original condition.
